ABOUT

TOA
THREDGOLD
My name is Toa Thredgold, and I am a registered counsellor (ACA Level 2) committed to helping people navigate life’s challenges with care, respect and authenticity. Before moving into counselling, I spent six years in the not-for-profit sector, leading large volunteer teams and supporting some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities. This work gave me deep insight into resilience, trauma and the importance of creating safe spaces where people can be themselves.
Alongside my professional career, I volunteer with queer mental health organisations, offering peer support and being part of initiatives that prioritise inclusion, representation and community care. These experiences continue to shape the way I practise today. I work with compassion, authenticity and a strong belief that everyone deserves to be heard and supported without judgement.
In my counselling practice, I offer both online and walk-and-talk sessions, meeting people where they are most comfortable. My approach is collaborative and client-centred: we work together to explore what matters most to you, weaving your strengths into the path forward.
