FAQ'
What is counselling?
Counselling is a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind. Together, we’ll explore your challenges and strengths to help you find clarity, coping strategies and positive change.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals. Some people find a few sessions are enough, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll check in regularly to make sure counselling is meeting your needs.
How long does a session last?
Sessions typically run for 60 minutes, with an option to extend to 90 minutes if you’d like more time to explore things in depth. Both online consultations and Walk & Talk Therapy sessions are available in these timeframes, depending on your needs and schedule.
What happens if I'm late?
If you arrive late, your session will still finish at the scheduled time to respect other clients’ bookings. Please plan to arrive or log in a few minutes early so you can make the most of your session.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
Is everything I say kept private?
Yes, your privacy is very important. What you share stays between us.
When would you need to break confidentiality?
The only times I must share information are if there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, or if required by law (such as child safety concerns or subpoenaed by the courts).
Do you accept rebates or insurance?
Not at this stage, please check back soon for more information or reach out to talk about this.
How do I pay for a session?
Payments can be made by card or bank transfer at the end of each session.
Is online counselling as effective as in-person?
Yes, many people find online sessions just as effective. It can also be more flexible and convenient.
